Marcus and Christiana were awesome hosts - knowledgeable, gracious, kind and filled with a passion for nature. I had such a lovely time as a camping newbie, and never once felt out of my depth. Lying amidst the heather hearing the wolves howl was an ethereal experience and I enjoyed hiking through the forests and the bogs foraging for berries and mushrooms! I highly recommend the tour to everyone!

Three nights wild camping in wolf territory

  • Meet our guides at Köping station and head to a secret location deep in the boreal forests of central Sweden.

We go for a short hike to get to know the inhabitants of the taiga ecosystem. We forage for berries and mushrooms, and learn how to use these wild ingredients to cook delicious food over open fire.

During our short hike, you will hear about the importance of biodiversity and a healthy forest ecosystem. Then it's dinner round the campfire and a talk with your guide before.

Later in the evening you will escape to a secluded lake for a wild swim and enjoy an age-old Scandinavian tradition, a wood-fired sauna.

    Night in tents.

  • Wake up to a bit of yoga and natural movement to awaken your body. before breakfast.

The morning is devoted to bushcraft skills and outdoor cooking. You will have the chance to learn the art of wood carving using knives and axes. Carve your own spoon or fork to eat with.

After lunch its all about the wolves! We are camping in a forest where a family of wolves keep their territory. You will learn all about their behaviour, their history, and the important role they play in rewilding as a keystone species.

Later we will go out searching for paw prints, killed prey and droppings. As dusk falls, and the forest comes alive, you will set out on a torchlight hike, listening for the howls of these elusive animals.

    Night in tents.

  • Wake up to another yoga session among the trees.

Spend the day in the woods. Go for a hike, swim in the lake, heat up the sauna or forage for berries. Or perhaps just relax in the hammock with that book you want to read.

In the evening we will head deeper into the wilds on a mission to meet the ‘king of the forest’ - the magnificent, and massive, moose.

Learn how to track moose by looking out for bite marks, hoof prints and fresh droppings.

Then it’s back to camp to make a fire and cook some dinner - keep your eyes akimbo for roe deer, mountain hare, wolves and even lynx, along the way.

Return late and night in tents.

  • Enjoy our last breakfast in the forest where we share our experiences in a closing circle around the campfire.

We then pack up camp and head back to civilisation.

Your guides

Marcus & Christiana – your guides

Christiana Diamesi is a passionate yoga teacher and skilled vegetarian cook. Her heart belongs in nature, whether it's the peaceful forest or the calming sea. Her mission is to inspire others to embrace a simpler, more conscious life in nature. Originally from urban Athens, Christiana found a new home in Sweden with her loyal companion, dog Aretha. Together, they rediscovered their wild and untamed selves in the forest, and are now dedicated to helping others do the same.

Marcus Eldh is a true nature enthusiast who grew up playing in Sweden's beautiful forests. His favorite activities include hiking through the trees, taking a dip in the chilly lakes, and sleeping under the stars in a cozy tent. He's been working full-time as a nature guide since founding WildSweden in 2003, and his passion for sharing his knowledge and love for nature is truly contagious. No matter how many wild animals he's seen, Marcus approaches every adventure with the same sense of wonder and excitement as if it were his first time.
