WE STAND UP TO SAVE SWEDEN’S FORESTS

Sweden's natural forests are under threat from logging and plantations. But there are brave activists and grassroots organizations working tirelessly to protect these vital ecosystems.

However, these volunteers are often working without compensation, and they need our help. That's why we're calling on you to join us in raising money to support their efforts.

Your donation can help compensate these volunteers and provide them with the resources they need to fight for the preservation of Sweden's natural forests.

Together, we can stand up for the protection of these forests and ensure that they are preserved for future generations.

Join us in the fight to save Sweden's natural forests by making a donation today.

Questions & answers

  • Natural forests are more than just trees. They're a complete ecosystem with a rich biodiversity where a variety of fungi, plants, insects, and vertebrates thrive. Sadly, over the last few decades, most of Sweden's forests have been turned into monocultures of same-age spruce and pine trees. These are then harvested and refined into timber and paper mass, most of it becomes disposable products like packaging material and magazines.

It's heartbreaking to tell our guests that Sweden's forests are suffering from serious mistreatment. Even today, large corporations are still cutting down some of Sweden's last remaining old growth forests.

  • Let's be clear, we're not against forestry altogether. We recognize that wood is an amazing material that is also renewable. We see many examples of small scale forestry that's done in a responsible way. However, we're passionate about making sure that the natural forests in Sweden are protected so that they can thrive and continue to be a home to the wild animals that call it home.

  • All funds are dedicated to supporting individuals who are actively engaged in preserving Sweden's old-growth forests. Our efforts include the following:

Save the Forest Award: We have reserved 10,000 SEK to recognize and honor the winner of the Save the Forest Award. This award acknowledges and celebrates young people who demonstrate exceptional dedication to preserving biodiversity in Sweden's forests.

Forest activists: The remaining funds will be distributed to a variety of activists, both young and old, who have devoted their lives to protecting old-growth forests in different regions of Sweden. These individuals work tirelessly to ensure that Sweden's forests are preserved for future generations.

  • Well, you just have to trust that we give the money where it is really needed, and to persons and organisations who really deserve it.

  • So far we have donated all money to the winners of Save the Forest Award, who are young activists fighting to save Sweden's old growth forests.
